hmmm, Does anybody know if they did away with the rich text posting on LJ. I am trying to post now and it is only possible using the HTML formatting. Not a huge deal, but I wondered if I missed some announcement or something...

I was sitting here trying really hard to come up with a topic for today. Then I came across a meme posted by a couple people about banned books. So:

What are your views on banning books? Is it necessary or paranoia? What (if any) circumstances should require a book to be banned?


and for those interested the meme was to go here, and list which of these banned books you have read. Comment on them if you wish.

What book has had the most influence on your life, and why?

I am also still taking suggestions for future topics. Again I warn you all not to leave this up to me. I have not been very creative lately.

I didn't have many takers on the quest for better topics. Come on people, I am not creative or brilliant enough to come up with enough better topics for this project.

I am thinking I will do "Topic Tuesdays" and for now I will post topics every Tuesday. (it may be more often if we get lots of great questions submitted)  You are still welcome to suggest a topic at any time. Our first topic will be this coming Tuesday and was submitted by fiona64. I think it is a great topic. And I think many of you will like it since I know many people on my flist are voracious readers.

It is not too late to submit your topics. We do not want to rely on me or we will have topics like "What kinds of socks do you like and why?"

Lately (always?) the writer's block questions that LJ posts on the home page are just plain awful. Where the hell do they get these questions? I know people on my friend's list have submitted questions and given that you are all creative and brilliant I know they had to be great questions.

So I am asking you to submit some questions to me and we'll see if we can't get something going on our own.
Maybe if a bunch of you submit questions I will post one a week or something and we can get some better topics going...

Like I didn't have enough time sucks. I don't even like myspace.
But 2 of my friends invited me to join their mob families.
And I did.
I have spent the last 2 hours mobbin it up over at myspace.
